Make the pause yours.
Start in three steps
Add Spendrift from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it from Chrome's extensions menu. Open settings, choose a region/currency, and create a goal. Hover over a shopping price; if you decide not to buy, choose the save-to-goal action. It records your choice and does not move money between bank accounts.
Connect your dashboard
Create a dashboard account or use your existing DecisionOS email and password. Confirm your email if requested. In the extension, choose Online mode and sign in to the same account. Version 1.2.0 can request a sync from the official Spendrift dashboard in the same Chrome profile. Local previews cannot connect to the extension.
What the dashboard counts
The dashboard shows the latest syncing device, not merged totals from several devices. Savings are amounts you intentionally record, not bank-verified savings. Repeated hovers over the same price element on the same page are not counted again. Daily data covers up to 90 days; totals cover the period since the last reset. Currency conversions are approximate.
Stop syncing or delete cloud data
Switch the extension to Offline before deleting synced data from the dashboard, or later activity will upload totals again. Offline stops new account-sync requests; a request already sent may finish. Local goal names, alternative sets, categories, wages and Undo receipts are never in cloud snapshots.
Common questions
The price is wrong or no popup appears
Check that Spendrift is enabled and reload the shopping tab after an update. Try hover mode and correct a misread amount. Restricted Chrome pages and currencies without a conversion rate will not show comparisons. Sale prices, shipping, installments, and dynamic layouts can still confuse detection.
Where is the save-to-goal button?
Create an unfinished goal with a name and target, and enable goal comparisons. Choose the first unfinished, closest-to-completion or preferred goal in settings. Completed goals are skipped. Version 1.2.0 offers Undo immediately after recording a skipped purchase.
How do I send feedback?
Open Feedback in the extension. Tell us about usefulness, wrong prices, confusion, annoyance, and whether you paused before buying. Send only information you want to share. Copy diagnostic info contains settings and local totals, not your account email or shopping URLs. Failed feedback is kept locally and is not automatically resent.
What do the homepage numbers mean?
The 100+ users and $1,500 saved are community figures confirmed by the project founder on September 2, 2026. They are manually updated, not live counters or bank-verified totals. Your private dashboard is separate. Spendrift does not guarantee savings or provide financial advice.
